Is Sunday School for Adults?
Sunday School is just for kids!! Maybe you have never said this, but it is a feeling that some adults have. Many only associate Sunday School with stories about David and Goliath, Daniel in the lion's den, or Moses crossing the Red Sea. But there are many other topics for adults to study in Sunday School.
One of the best opportunities for adults to grow spiritually is in the small group environment of Sunday School. Here the communication is two-way mode (even three or four-way sometimes) instead of the primarily one-way mode utilized in preaching. It turns out that sometimes the Bible stories of our youth have deeper and richer meanings now that we are older and seasoned by the realities of daily living for a few years. Being able to immediately respond to ideas raised in class is a proven way to grow spiritually.
The Auditorium Sunday School Class meets in the auditorium (imagine that) at 9:30 to study many current topics affecting adults. Bob Hartshorn is the teacher.
Come join Pastor Dave, (the teacher) in the ROC room every Sunday morning at 9:30 am.
